NYSMEA is a chapter of the National Marine Educators Association. They publish a peer-reviewed journal, Current, and send out all sorts of interesting tidbits and hold a national conference each year. The 2023 conference was held in Bellingham, Washington. In 2024, the conference took place in Boston Massachusetts, and the 2025 conference was held in Lafayette, Louisiana.
